About Us
Our research is devoted to the design and synthesis of nanomaterials and nanointerfaces for applications ranging from new semiconductors and superconductors to supramolecular coatings for defending against pathogenic viruses and microbes. We aim leverage supramolecular chemistry- the weaker interactions between molecular building blocks- to engineer superior properties in matter. The laboratory focuses on synthetic problems of controlling where molecules go and how they interact with one another and their environment when they get there.

Get hype! Hohman group moves to new UCONN Science One building in Jan 2023! I wonder if it will have that "new lab smell."
Radenka Maric, an acclaimed innovator in clean energy technology whose leadership as a vice president helped propel UConn to new heights in research funding, has been selected as the University’s 17th president.
Our work with @Hohmanjn and @TheNelsonLab is now out: Sterically Invariant Carborane-Based Ligands for the Morphological and Electronic Control of Metal–Organic Chalcogenolate Assemblies
